A fresh challenge has beeen filed against the recruitment of the new chief justice and the deputy. Mr. Habel Assanga Ojwang filed the case which was certified as urgent by High Court Judge Daniel Masinga. Assanga argues that only the president in consultation with the prime minister have the powers and mandate to appoint these office bearers as enshrined in the new constitution.
