Medic Warns On Counterfeit Malaria Drugs

Dr Ojwang’ Lusi, the Provincial Director of Medical Services warned Nyanza residents against using counterfeit drugs to treat malaria. The drugs would hamper the fight against the disease at a time when the cases are expected to rise.  A report by the Johns Hopkins Malaria Research Institute-US shows that dangerous anti-malaria counterfeits have flooded the Kenyan market and residents are falling prey because of their tendency to self-medicate.
