The CIC has cautioned parliament to exercise its powers consciously during tansition. CIC chair Charles Nyachae denied that there was a conflict between parliament and the CIC but challenged MPs to exercise their powers in accordance with the constitution. He said parliament cannot purpot to exercise powers of other constitutional commissions and this needs to be ironed out.
