What Constitution Says about Next Elections

Wambui Kimathi writes that parliament cannot be dissolved before approving the next budget. Keeping in mind the the finance secretary must submit to parliament estimates of the budget two months before reading the budget and unless this process is fast-tracked it is unrealistic to hold elections in August. The IEBC is also yet to be constituted yet it has huge tasks ahead including delimitating boundaries. Beauttah Omanga agrees with above and adds that the August date should not stop Kenyans from seeing the greater good of holding the elections in December.
