Njeru Githae, the Nairobi Metropolitan Development Minister has accused the civil society of sabotaging the implementation of the Constitution by misusing the courts. He cited the scenario where the court granted last minute injunctions to stop the swearing in of the five Supreme Court Judges, because the civil society wants more women appointed. The legislator has accused the courts of playing into the hands of the civil society groups which he alleges were out to control every section of the country.
