Ministry inventory of Military Land

The Lands minister James Orengo has told a parliamentary Committee that he is making inventory of land claimed by the military to ascertain how much has been grabbed. The land has not been demarcated and it has attracted people who are laying claim of it. The committee wants inventory into the Department of Defence (DOD)’s land to establish the physical location of the parcels owned by the military, after it found out that operations of the army had trespassed the land allocated to them.  Besides barracks, the military owns huge rangelands in arid areas used for training purposes.
